El Paso seminarians will be busy during summer break from classes

Father Miguel Angel Sánchez, rector of St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, said seminarians studying for priesthood in the Diocese of El Paso will be taking part in a number of activities during the summer break from academics.

Allan Olouch is assigned to St. Matthew Parish, and will be participating in a pastoral experience at a hospital in Dallas.

Gleen Carpe will be studying Spanish and working at St. Joseph Parish.

Apolinar Samboni, Victorino Lorezca, Francisco Hernandez and Cong Vo will be taking part in a 10 week Institute for Pastoral Formation summer program at Creighton University in Omaha, Neb.

Miguel Perez will be working in St. Luke Parish.

Hung Pham is assigned to summer duties in Queen of Peace Parish.

German Alzate will be working in Cristo Rey Parish and attending El Paso Community College.

Enrique Moreno is assigned to San Antonio de Padua Parish.

Carlos Corral and Ivan Montelongo will be working in the Vocations Office at St. Charles Seminary.

Sergio Legarreta will be working at St. Charles Seminary on weekdays and Blessed Sacrament Parish on weekends.

Armando Heredia is on leave of absence.

The Institute for Priestly Formation at Creighton University is a non-profit, Public Association of the Faithful, committed to serving bishops by working directly with priests, seminarians, and seminaries so that spiritual formation is the center around which all other aspects of priestly formation are integrated.

Its mission is to help center spiritual formation at the core of priestly formation so that priests and seminarians live in an intimate and unceasing union with God.

The IPF offers the Summer Program for Spiritual Formation for Diocesan Seminarians. It is a 10-week program that helps the seminarians fall deeply in love with God while at the same time steeping them in the unique spirituality of diocesan priesthood.
